My Story
My Early Days
When I look back now, I feel I was fortunate to shift to Mumbai at the right age, the formative years of college.
Pursuing graduation and post-graduation in a competitive environment kept me going towards my goals.
I always wanted to do a management degree and pursue a specialization in HR. Learning & Development was of keen interest to me since my school days. Thanks to my dad, who shared the learnings of all the training programs that he attended at work.

In Search of My Passion
The bug of pursuing my passion in L & D was so strong that I turned down transactional HR roles offered to me by IT giants during the final placements.
My batchmates were placed. They started earning and adding on to their work experience whereas I continued my search for L & D roles for two months after college. The pressure of getting a job was mounting.
It is said, ‘when you want something, the whole universe conspires in helping you to achieve it’.In May 2006, I got an interview call from a consulting firm MPower Business Facilitators Ltd. MPower specialized in L & D and Strategic HR. My dream came true. That’s the role I was waiting for. I gave the interview my best shot and there I was the next day at the same office to start my career. Yessssssss!!! I got selected 🙂
A common saying in the corporate world is ‘People don’t leave jobs; they leave bad bosses.’ Yes, it’s true. But I was fortunate to have found my mentor in my boss. There was no looking back. I was in the right hands and I completely surrendered to my mentor.
The Happiness of Making the Right Decision
Within the second month of my work, I was fortunate to be working on consulting assignments and L & D requirements of our clients. Attending meetings with Director HR, Presidents, Vice Presidents, GMs, Sales Heads was an incredible learning experience. In hindsight, I was nurturing the dream to grow in my career and be an industry expert like them.
What makes me a Corporate Readiness Expert?
With hard work, determination, and proper guidance, I grew up the ladder. I was elevated as the Director of the organization. As the Director of MPower, I was the focal point of contact for over 400 clients. It included large conglomerates like the Tata Group, Godrej, Reliance, several MNCs, and SMEs. Interacting with the various function heads across industries, understanding their people challenges, business, and organizational needs, designing and implementing interventions for the clients gave me a holistic perspective of the corporate world. The Joy of Giving Back
Hiring competent candidates at the entry-level was a common challenge faced by my clients. My daily interactions with them about their talent acquisition challenges helped me conceptualise and spearhead Campus2Corporate Pro, a National Contest on Employability Skills for MBA and Engineering students.
The idea was to help students understand the expectations of the industry. Clarity about expectations enabled them to prepare well for the interviews. I organized the event for nine consecutive years. Students from premier institutions like IIMs, IITs, NITs, leading Universities participated along with students from Tier – II and Tier – III cities.
The initiative enabled me to travel across India and interact with more than 16,000 students. Several MBA and Engineering institutions benefited from the talk on ‘Corporate Employability.’ It fills my heart with immense gratitude and satisfaction when even today, the students call, message, or write an email informing me about their success in the corporate world.

Holistic Development
Life at MPower wasn’t about just HR. I had the opportunity to be at the forefront of organizing several conferences and award ceremonies. Meeting achievers from different walks of life like Sports, Social Activists, Scientists, Film & Television Personalities, Corporate Stalwarts broadens your horizon. I was fortunate to be the focal point of contact for Game Changer Awardees which included Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri Awardees, Magsaysay Award Winners, Rolex Award Winners, Social Activists, CEOs, Educationists, and Spiritual Gurus. The Road Ahead
Looking ahead at the future, being grounded with the lessons learned, my heart is filled with gratitude. I march again with a renewed hope on a mission to help a million MBA students to be Corporate Ready.
As I said earlier, when you truly want something, the universe conspires in helping you achieve it’. My brother introduced me to another mentor, the pioneer of digital leadership, Mr. Siddharth Rajsekar. Digital coaching world fondly calls him Sid.
Under his able guidance, I embarked on my learning journey again. He inspired me to attended programs by world-class trainers like Mac Attram, Thaddeus Lawrence and Blair Singer.
With the blessings of my mentor, parents, well-wishers, and a supporting husband, I am transforming my offline journey into an online journey.
I have set up Corporate Readiness Academy with the sole intention of making every MBA student be corporate ready and achieve the dream of living a successful and fulfilling life.

While I always enjoyed sharing my thoughts with others whether it is through corporate workshops or institutional talks, but I never thought of looking at it as a skill to be part of a reality show.

In Success Gyan’s Second Season of Super Speaker, I was fortunate to be selected as ‘Super 1000’ out of 2, 11, 520 registrations and qualify for the second round.
It was a thrilling experience to be part of creating a Guinness World Record in Success Gyan’s initiative of ‘Making India the Training Capital of the World’
